Got confused with my Good Beer Guide 2026 Pubs, after a round to many at the Brewery Tap. It's the Rock Point over the road, I should have been aiming for, not this one.

Disappointing beer condition - Tally Ho was awful and 200 was nowhere near what it can be. Hugely expensive. Don't make the same mistake as me!

Palmer's pub with a fairly modern feel inside. You enter into a large room at the front for drinkers. Beyond that is a narrower room where a long bar can be found to the right-hand side. Further beyond are a couple of large dining rooms, the first with an open kitchen. Further drinking space can be found with an outdoor terrace opposite the bar and a separate roof terrace.

There is parquet flooring throughout and lots of wood in general. Music was playing. Kids are provided with crayons and presumably something to draw on them with.

Cask ales were 200, IPA, Copper, Dorset Gold & Tally Ho! The cider was Dorset Orchards First Press and Dorset IPA was on keg. As per the previous review, prices are hefty here. So, it was only local holidaymakers present. Fairly average in all.

Covered in scaffold on this visit - so not the easiest to spot. Long internal bar, with some patio door leading to an outside terrace.

GBG 2023 Palmers house. Last night, I was told that no locals drank in Palmers because of the price. As a solo drinker, I can tell you that the 200 was in fine shape and £6. The Rock Point Inn over the road and with a sea view had Proper Job IPA at £4.50.

The locals know, you know.
