Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about De Parys Hotel

From a distance, this hotel building looks little different from the long lines of substantial houses on each side of the tree-lined avenue. Closer up, you see a more recent extension and a particularly dull pub sign (with no mention of Charles Wells, the brewery owners). The entrance lobby leads to a plainly-furnished lounge with a small bar at the back (plus a restaurant which I did not investigate). Two handpumps offering Eagle IPA and Youngs Gold (£3.00), but as the interior was rather uninspiring I went out the back doors to the sizeable part-patio/part-grassed beer garden which proved to be quite a pleasant spot in the sun (with the background sound of a cricket match on the adjacent school playing fields).

Ate in the garden which is generally un tidy. Strewn with rubbish. Kids play facilities exist but are poor. Ordered 4 main courses. Service was discourteous. 1. Steak and baked potato. Steak overcooked, asked for medium was well done. Potato under cooked (if you can't cook a baked potato....). 2. Veg Fajita and Veg Enchillada, both same faults. They'd used brocolli and cauliflower in this!!! It's supposed to be Mexican for christ sake!!! Furthermore all the veg was undercooked.

At around the Â£12 mark for a main course this is probably the most comprehensively ripped off I've felt in a long time. Don't go there.
