Free entry to all, there is a £15 annual charge for membership which will give you discounted drinks, but non members are welcome and made to feel welcomed. The club like building sits below an embankment of the Northern Oxford Canal and has a large carpark.
On entering there is a full sized snooker table,a recess for darts,a mix of bench seating and a large banquette below a flatscreen with the bar to the right.Fruit machines are near the darts and there is an outside beer terrace to the side.
Beyond the bar is a pool table with seating around. As with any club ,most people are local and it really is the only pub in Ansty now that the Rose & Castle is really a restaurant. There is a wide mix of age groups and genders here it was friendly enough.
At the bar standard kegs and just one ale in Hook Norton Haymaker in NBSS Very Good nick and undiscounted £4.57,which I really enjoyed.
My first port of call when next in Ansty.
