No cask. Keg offering of Yawn pale ale from Flowerhorn, Asahi, Jubel Peach, Guinness and Cornish Orchards cider.
70's theme bar on an industrial estate. You need to know this is here to find it, and the walk takes you past a few carpentry businesses. It opens to an astroturfed area behind roll-down shutters at the rear with some tables and chairs covered by a gazebo, but thankfully the area was nicely out of the sun. The space under the gazebo also includes a shuffleboard. Inside, it feels very 70's and time of disco. Initially industrial flooring through the glass frontage with a corner fitted banquette on the left-hand side and the rear to the side of the mirror fronted bar counter, the banqueted serving a few Formica topped tables. There is a larger table in the centre of the floor space. To the right of the entrance at the front are a couple of very ornate booth tables with another table between those and the bar counter. A mirrored rear right hand side cubicle hosts the pink themed bathroom, which also includes an actual bath. On a listeringly hot day was tempted to take my pint in, lock the door and enjoy pint in said bath full of cold water! A mirrored DJ both sits on the right-hand wall, the wall above hosts the venue sign that doubles as a dartboard but announcing Motel Nights is “for a good time, not a long time”. Where not mirrored or very 70's wallpaper what else but wallboard. No need to say what the music genre was! Many disco balls hang off the 45 rpm records glued to the crying. Very gimmicky but I felt rewarded by the trek here even if I was the only punter on my visit.
