Will Larter left this review about Poppyland Brewery Tap Room
With half an hour until my train I just had time for a swift half here. This is a very basic tap room, with a firkin and a pin perched on the counter just inside the door, plus a few bottles, while the room up a step to the left has been provided with some chairs, cushions and some decoration for the walls, including a royal coat of arms. It's only open for a couple of hours per day, Wednesday to Saturday from 2pm. I had a half of a 5.8% brown ale (NBSS 2, lacking condition, £4/pint) and a bottle of something called Carnelian to take away: a 5.1% copper red ale with fuggles. Something to look forward to.
