New bar in a new shopping centre. It's a medium sized unit with a high ceiling with non-functional beams to split up the space both visually and acoustically, which is a nice touch. Stone flagged floors and tasteful modern decor welcome us to a bar counter with three hand pumps in prominent position. The people running this venture are friendly and welcoming, and happy to chat about the beers, which are frequently changing and, as I found, well kept. There are also a number of keg beers but I didn't look into them as there was a bus back to Sheffield due soon. My halves of Thornbridge Lord Marples and Triple Point Simook were both better than good (NBSS average 3.75) and the background music was smooth and unobtrusive. I wouldn't mind calling back another time. (It's on the 95 bus route between Sheffield and Rotherham.)
