Old Boots left this review about Jax Bar

Flashy bar in a bit of a nightclub style decor and seating wise although the afternoon clientele were salt of the earth older blokes. A longish rectangle, probably a former shop, counter on the left with a trio of T-Bars of UK standards, no cask. On the right half way down is a small stage, the seating is high at the front end near the door and low at the back with a mix of tables, Britannias and sewing machine among them. Girly decor according to Mrs Boots. Do not confuse with Jax on the Square further down the road at 64.
