Daltons is located adjacent to the beach underneath the Zip Bar so it’s easily missed, in fact I only now know of its existence due to an advertisement on an A-board at street level. With the structure overhead it is quite dark, even on a bright summer’s afternoon, but they’ve capitalised on this by using neon strip lights that make it feel like a fairground ride. The serving counter is found to the left where premium keg is available alongside Beavertown’s Neck Oil and Gamma Ray. To the right is a large dance floor and a bumper car to cement the fairground experience. Across the path on the beach out front is a decked seating area. This feels like a late bar aimed at a younger crowd, even in the daytime, so it’s not the sort of place I’s be visiting on a trip to the beach.
