Old Boots left this review about The Meeting Place
An old church meeting hall, Wesleyan built 1901 according to the memorial stone, so it has a large open space plus two smaller rooms near the front. From the nicely tiled entrance lobby you arrive in the main part with the marble counter ahead on a raised dais, above are the old organ pipes. Food is served at the left hand end, six pulls and a couple of T-bars stand to the right; other than a Brass Castle and a Bradfield the casks were from Helmsley Brewery who run the place. The kegs are a little more interesting than average, including Veltins. It has been kitted out with banquette seating down each side with square and rectangular wooden tables, the centre has separate tables and chairs. An interesting spiral staircase leads upstairs to another mezzanine seating area from one of the smaller rooms which is separated from the main body by an etched glass wall. The toilets are either side of the front door.
