We entered this new Joule's pub from the lower canal level. You enter through a small outdoor courtyard. The whole of the ground floor was sealed off on our Sunday afternoon visit with a cleaner making it spotless. Presumably this only becomes busy on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The bar can be found on the upper Gas Street level. The 3 cask ales (all Joule's) are Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk & Citra Blonde. Keg options were Bodega Bay & Stone Haze. The building is large and impressive. Its canalside location adds to its appeal but the beer range was fairly mundane. My Slumbering Monk was in a good condition. I suspect I'll be back at some time but I doubt this will become a regular haunt and the lack of customers on a Sunday afternoon must be a cause for concern.

Beautiful building which was formerly the headquarters of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal Company. Multi-room layout and very nicely refurbished interior. Not a fan of Joules beers, so I left it to Real Ale Ray to sample one. 3 handpumps all on, serving Monk, Pale and Blonde, all £4.60 a pint. Visited Aug 2025.

Nice addition to the area. Much rather see a Joule's pub than a Bistro Pierre! Choice of 3 ales when I called - Pale, Blonde and Slumbering Monk. The Monk was excellent. Worth a visit.
