My initial impressions were of a potential micropub, comprising 2 rooms and a terrace overlooking the weir on the Kennet. The front room is the larger and hosts the bar, with 4 hand pumps (2x Hook Norton, 1 Siren, 1 other) and 4 keg taps, though only the Electric Bear Mixtape is in any way crafty, while the Clarkson lager, on reflection, prevents a proper micropub definition for me. Wine is available in 3 colours and in both still and sparkling varieties.
It was all very relaxing in here and the Hooky Points of Brew slipped down easily. Worth a visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Weirside
Although the square bar area faces the church, the entrance corridor has a large rustic mural of the navigation, with the compact rear room and a tiny terrace actually overlooking the water. Semi-modern furniture in all parts. Four cask ales from smaller breweries on handpump, including my Chinwag from the local Indigenous (£4.70) as well as others from Rebellion, Electric Bear and Arbor.
