Cask bitter comprised a rather well-kept Bass and the Wye Valley Butty Bach. There was an excellent craft offering of a stout from Felinfoel called Llanelly Du, the New Dawn Session IPA from Toast, the Mikey Rayer All Dayer Session Pale Ale, the Innis & Gunn Session IPA, the Monterey Californian Pale Ale from St Austell, the Lodstar Pacific Pale Ale, the Freedom NZ Pale Ale, then Hawkstone cider, Brewhouse Welsh Lager and Asahi.
Newly opened craft beer venue sandwiched between two traditional pubs on Caerphilly Rd. This is a long rectangle with stone tile flooring, wood panelled walls at the front and then sleepers at the back with the bar counter in the back left corner. Mixture of seating with some studded red leather banquettes against the wall on the left-hand side of the front with regular tables and more bench style seating on the right-hand side of the venue. Opposite the bar counter in the back right hand side are small regular tables with regular chairs. A large neon sign on the wall opposite the bar counter announces, "Craft Beer", just need to look at the chalk board on the wall to the side of the bar counter to see that statement is true! This is a really excellent addition the drinking scene in this part of town.
