No cask. Decent keg offering of Big Wave, Bavo Pils, Fruli, Inch's cider, Staro, Jubel peach lager, Guinness, Paulaner lager and Weissbier, Kirin Ichiban, Deya Steady Rolling Man, Lervig House Party.
This establishment moved premises in recent times and is predominately an entertainment focussed venue with a large room out the back with stage and tables positioned to watch the action. The bar room is immediately inside the front door and can be hard to find if it weren't for the sandwich board at the end of the alley that leads to it (and is by the closed Debenhams). Bar counter, a rather cobbled together wooden structure is in the back right corner of the rectangular shaped room and seating is via a plank-based table stretching between the two pillars in the middle of the room with tall stools either side and a ledge against the left-hand wall with similar stools. Seating near the entrance is via configurations of old theatre red velvet fold up seats and some mismatched tables. The upper parts of the walls are adorned with old music hall / variety theatre images. The place feels a bit ramshackle but has a lot of charm and a decent beer range to boot, albeit keg based!
