No problem with the locals on our visit, apart from the fact that the pub was full. We got a friendly welcome and were told that there were a few seats still available upstairs. There were as well, so they're doing a good job by keeping their finger on the pulse. The group upstairs were young and chatty, so no problem there. I've forgotten which beer I had, but I'm pretty sure it was a Yorkshire brew and it was in good nick. Ms CAMRA had a glass of wine, which she says was also good. Happy to call in here again

A bottle shop with 2 handpumps, Mrs A and myself called in and Mrs A went for the Yorkshire Heart Blonde. The other choice being Phoenix Wobbly Bob. I perused the selection of beer cans along the left hand side. I picked up a can of Vault City and couldn't believe the pricing £10 each and this was for a strawberry sundae sour. Four to five quid in most places, plus a lot of their other canned beers were outlandishly priced.
The other big problem with this place is the cliquey locals who sit around the bar and think it's their own private club. Along with the owner, they all sit mocking the customers. He should move back to the indoor market as he is such a tosspot.

Bottle shop with a handpump and three keg taps on a T-bar as well as an extensive range of bottles and cans. Breweries represented on draught were Yorkshire Heart, Amity, Brew York and Halifax Steam Brewery. A square room lined on three sides with shelves and fridges as well as a short counter. The front walls has seating and there’s a quartet of bar stools. Nicely kept beer and friendly owners.
