There are two handpumps in here, but it's not clear which ales are dispensed in the traditional way. The beer menu behind the bar lists 30 or more, 2 of them with a green badge for cask, but do they mean it's the one on the left or right? Fortunately A5 sheets dotted around can help you out (or you could even ask at the bar).
Prices are, naturally, top-end: £5.60 for Table Beer, but £7 for the more pokey Thornbridge collaboration. The keg comes with the usual price/ABV trade-off, though the beer lists are helpful in explaining all the options.
I found it pretty loud of an evening, with background music and chat bouncing off the concrete floor.
The Kernel Brewery was in there at the start of the craft beer revolution in London so if that's of interest, this venue is a must.

I've been in a couple of times now in the last month, I'm not likely to walk past anything to do with The Kernel very often. More spacious than the previous railway arch location, it is a single room but a stretched out layout, the general theme to the room is a basic one consisting of concrete and industrial piping with the seating in the main of a sensible nature. There is nothing basic about their beers of course and a choice of 20 on tap behind the long bar with just the one handpump bringing the the total up to 21 beers, the cask on was Bitter Simmonds 1880 on my first visit and most recently Brown Ale. Despite the extra space it's been rammed on both visits but the service is quick and efficient. This will be a regular port of call for me when in this part of town.
