A craft-ish bar in a former artisan bakery and before that a butchers shop. A very small place, it’s full if you get more than eight people in; there’s an L shaped counter at the front with stools all round and a drinking shelf opposite. Behind is a dining area set out with four tables with chairs presumably for eating the pizzas advertised on the window, the dividing sliding doors are labelled “Tartine Lounge” from another previous incarnation. The walls are tiled in white from its butcher’s shop time. The rear wall of the servery has five keg taps with a selection from Salt / Ossett, Theakston, an Irish stout called Brennan’s brewed under license by Theakstons and a (keg) cider from Orchards of Husthwaite.
Not a place I would frequent regularly and unlikely to visit again but don’t let me stop you.
