David Walton left this review about King’s Wardrobe
Visited as Wardrobe Bar & Kitchen on 25/01/2023 and again in its regally reopened state of the King’s Wardrobe end yesterday evening. It is a quite swanky but basic bar & kitchen where seating is via tables and chairs all laid assuming customer is eating but where drinkers are equally well greeted. There is also ample outside standing space in quite a sheltered corner spot.
There are four keg beers with taps on the wall behind the bar. On offer were a Pilsner and a Helles from Braybrooke Brewing Co, Rodeo from Villages and Dennis Hopp’r from Mondo. Better than some similar places but not as extensive as others is the best I can offer!
This place was deserted on my visit a bit before 9pm and so was quite grateful for a quiet spot. Can imagine it would be somewhat busier in the immediate after work times. Not my sort of venue where there are a handful of pretty decent traditional pubs in the immediate vicinity so o doubt I will return given this has gone as far as it can up the nobility ladder!
