These days, the Blair is much more of a restaurant than a pub.
Most of the rooms are set out for dining and on a Thursday evening, the place was really popular. I doubt we'd have got a table if we'd wanted one.
However, we were here just for a drink. There is a tiny bar to the right of the entrance door. It is actually quite a nice space, but I'm not sure how much use it gets, with most people here to dine.
Guinness, Tennent's Lager & Caledonia Best & Heverlee was the choice. I didn't fancy any of these. So, a spirit, mixer and soft drink set me back almost £12! But at least it was served by a friendly barmaid.
This was easily the most expensive of the 29 pubs we tried on this visit to Scotland.
Whilst clearly popular for food, this place has clearly gone a long way (downhill) since a 2008 appearance in the Good Beer Guide.
