Visited on Monday afternoon. I think it opened around 2pm, which doesn't align with WhatPub (which states noon) or Google (states 4pm on Mondays). However from around midday I noticed signs of life with the windows being open and lights on, even if the door was shut, so I figured they must (hopefully) be getting ready for opening imminently.

Needless to say I was pleased to find it open when I passed by later on - at the bar are three pulls, each serving their own Northern Monkey brewery beers. I went for a half of their Just Do It, and at £2.10 was the cheapest and definitely the nicest of the day.

There is an outdoor seating area to the front, sensibly covered with a glass roof to allow for all weathers, and this really enhanced the look of the place from the outside - in fact the place felt smart both inside and out. Nice music was playing both inside and out; it felt nice and chilled and I received a pleasant welcome.

Food is served; I saw a family with burger and fries, which looked decent.

There is a compact gents' toilet downstairs consisting of two urinals; I assume there must have been a cubicle elsewhere in the building.

I'd definitely make a bee line for this place when next in Lytham, opening hours permitting.

Appears to be a major outlet for Northern Monkey brewery. A double fronted building perhaps previously a large home but now a pub. The main servery is in the larger right hand of the two front rooms. Three pulls, one of Northern Monkey and two guests, there are also 8 kegs with 4 from Northern Monkey. Modernised in an old style with nice floors and ceilings not withstanding the spider lights and the beer & food menus are on hard to read screens as Brainy Pool noted. Monkey themed artwork adorns the walls and there’s a heated covered area at the front outside.

A new brewpub for the Bolton based Northern Monkey, this one is a bit more trendy and has a greater emphasis on bar food, it fits in well into Lytham’s high street bar scene. Outdoor seating at the front, inside is an ultramodern bar with food and drink menus shown on TV screens - a bit awkward to read the small text as I’d left my glasses at home. Thankfully my eyes didn’t need to go any further than the three cask ale pumps with two of their own plus a guest mild. Only £4 a pint and excellent quality. It deserves to do well.
