Old Boots left this review about Piccolo Lounge
We all know what loungers are like so I won’t labour the description too much, the old masters and stuff are there, the lights are globes with half moons attached as well as granny’s lampshades in the front window. Usual mix of tables to suit solitary diners or larger groups of noisy neds. As they mostly enforce their “please wait here to be seated” balls, I was met at the door by a young lady who explained their modus operandi, I was going to eat so I didn’t turn tail at that point and grabbed a table for two. They serve some sort of purpose no doubt, there’s no spoons in Ely of course, but they only just squeeze in as pubs.
