Single room bar on the corner of a set of traffic lights. It was a bright day outside on my visit but inside it is quite dark due to dark bare boards, black painted walls and black furniture. The bar is on the far wall as you enter. An opposite wall has many paintings above some black Chesterfields. This end also has some board games and a book exchange.

Nearer the bar, a dresser holds candles, a pair of weighing scales and a few bottles and flasks. A couple of cases on a wall nearby contain a selection of saws and hatchets. Pot plants are scattered around the room.

A blackboard to the left-hand side of the bar lists the all keg beer selection. For my visit, this was Thornbridge Brock, Farm Yard Spritzy & When You Call My Name, Black Lodge Fukuro, Colbier Chanson & Folk, Northern Monk Faith and Tangerine & Marble Magic Bus. The cider was Pulp Apple Craft Cider. In addition, a fridge behind the bar had a good selection of bottled and canned beers and ciders. Wines and spirits are available. Hot drinks are also sold.

I found the young barman friendly. One other customer appeared during my visit. Music was playing fairly loud in spite of the limited custom. I noticed an advert for an open mic night coming soon on a Sunday but I'm not sure if this was a regular event or a one-off. Toilets are unisex and well appointed.

A fairly decent place which seems a little out place in the Liverpool suburb of Garston. Even cask ale is hard to come by in these parts. Prices here weren't particularly cheap. So, it does seem to be a strange place to locate such a venture. However, I wish them the best.
