A friendly little new bar on the marketplace, with a small higher level opening onto Fenkle Street behind. It has a modern feel with dark blue paintwork and minimal decorations. There are a couple of pavement tables outside and live music is advertised on the last Wednesday of the month. The single handpump normally alternates between Rigg & Furrow Run Hop Run and Alnwick Gold, but is temporarily out of use while a new cellar connection is made. A house lager is brewed to a German recipe and cold charcuterie is planned. Early days yet, see how it develops.
