A newly-built pub serving The Bay Holiday Village, a development of holiday houses and lodges on part of the former Butlins site and rather more upmarket than the adjacent Haven park. The interior is smart modern and totally soulless, a bit like an hotel bar, and features high- and low-tabled areas, a couple of leather armchairs by a fireplace for effect, and an oven at the back for pizza. A patio area extends round the outside. Sadly the beers included nothing more exciting than keg Doom Bar and Atlantic, and at premium prices (£6.50 for Doom!). Service was pretty dire also, as we were completely ignored by the barmaid while she played with two pints of Guinness, filled the dog bowl, and chatted with her colleague about shifts before deigning to serve us. No thank you.
