The Engineer has a tile floored bar area with pew seating up the right and a serving counter up the left that supports Guinness, Red Stripe, Brixton Lager and another keg product alongside four hand pumps that were drawing Salopian’s Golden Thread, Purity’s Gold, Colbier Brew Co’s Minor and Lilley’s Elderflower. Stairs by the entrance lead up to a plank walkway that runs across the top of the serving counter, from here accessed can be gained to three sperate green brick painted seating areas. In the rear left is another seating area that houses a television that was airing muted Sky Sports whilst some background music played. This is an old brick outhouse / garage that completely retains its outhouse / garage brickiness. At the rear is a skylight covered beer garden that is shared with the White Hart, both pub’s being owned by the same people. It’s different in here so I’d recommend a visit, if only to have a look.

An excellent and quirky addition to the local beer scene. It shares a garden with the White Hart and you can move freely between the two pubs, but it is still a separate entity. Some small rooms on the balcony above can be booked, but are free to use when no-one has booked them. All have very large TV's in them. Loads of assorted tat around the walls, it's quite atmospheric. 4 handpumps on the bar with TT Landlord being permanent and the others being changing guests. We're often at this end of town as we often eat at the nearby Zorba's. We'll be in here next time as well.

Tagged onto the White Hart but a separate pub in its own right and certainly got its own interesting style. Four Handpumps offered up Westwood Cheshire Cat and Southern Cross, Ossett Silver King and TT Landlord. Great pub.
