Two-floor modern building overlooking the River Tyne. The main bar is on the upper floor adjacent to an upper level car park. It is comfortable and has doors opening onto an outdoor balcony with some undercover seating. A large oar can be found on the far wall with some shields above it. There is a pool table at the same end. TVs can be found at both ends, but they were both off for our visit with music playing instead. The bar also has a couple of sweet machines.

The bar has another oar above it. It has 4 handpulls which were clipped with 3 ales and a cider. The ales were Durham Dark Angel & Bollihope & Firebrick Pagan Queen. The cider was Seacider Bourboun Barrel-Aged cider. Inch's was the keg cider option. I tried half of each of the Durham beers, which were both in excellent condition. I've had the Dark Angel previously and did not enjoy it. Here, it was far better. A sign next to the bar stated that cash was accepted, but cards are preferred.

Dogs are allowed in if on a lead. A food menu offering what appeared to be fairly basic items was available. Live music is also a feature.

Off the main bar was another room where some teens appeared to be engaging in yoga. There is also a conference room near the entrance.

As clubs go, this one is a good example. I was particularly impressed with the beer quality and agree that is worthy of an inclusion in the Good Beer Guide, where it can be duly found.
