Bucking Fastard left this review about Crossways (Bottlecraft)

Situated right by a busy roundabout and up from the 'spoons, the exterior is nothing to write home about and the open plan interior is large and sparse.Bench seating and metal framed tables and chairs, lots of room with the L shaped servery midships and a pool room behind with a darts board too.The customer base is studenty, probably from Keele, with a few beer fans dotted about. The muzak was contemporary and suited the vibe.
The welcome from behind the bar was genuine and friendly and regulars gather on bar stolls for more banter with the barman. The main attraction is the ale range which on my trip was TT Boltmaker,Salopian 1000 Yard Stare 5.2%,Big Trip Where We You While We Were Getting High and Thornbridge x Salopian Kashpur V2.(NBSS 4 ,5.7%,although a shade warm ).The 12 keg taps were offering some standard brews but also a few indie beers from respected brewers. There was also a real cider. The 2025 GBG entry seemed fully deserved, this is yet another fine drinking establishment in Newcastle and should not be missed out if crawling the town.
