Blue Scrumpy left this review about Elton Liberal Club
Situated in the backstreets of Elton to the west of Bury town centre, the Liberal Club is deceptively large.
We arrived to find the barmaid smoking on the step. But she quickly followed us in to serve us.
Non-members are welcome here, but have to pay a £1 fee. Had I not asked the question, I'm not sure if we would have needed to pay.
Nevertheless, once inside, there is one large main room with multiple snooker tables and TVs. These were showing the Ashes cricket on our visit.
A second large room off to the right-hand side had its own bar and a stage presumably used for functions and live music.
There was at least one further room at the rear, along with what looked like a very pleasant garden around a bowling green.
Being listed in the Good Beer Guide, there are a couple of real ales. The choice on our Saturday lunchtime visit was Phoenix Arizona or Moorhouse's White Witch.
