Up a wide alley opposite the Co-op its exterior and interior belie its former social club antecedents. A low modern building in white, the interior has two main rooms, to the left what looks like a function room, it was set up for a wedding when I called in. On the right a multi space room with the counter on the left, a long seating area and snug to the right and more seating and a pool table ahead in a space that can be divided off. A wide range of lagers grace the counter with the inevitable Guinness, a couple of smooths, a cider and two keg pale ales, Atlantic and Wainwright, there’s also a robot shaped Heineken 0.0 dispenser. Very club like in atmosphere and decor, plain white walls, pale laminate floor, some banquette and pale tables and chairs in various styles. A fair few screens and machines are dotted about. Friendly enough place but no pub.
