Bison Beach Bar is concrete floored throughout with a front bar area where a serving counter runs up the right and a larger seating area at the rear where there’s also a photo booth for the weekend hen parties that manage to find themselves this far up the beach from the pier. It was half full inside during a recent Saturday afternoon visit, but the outside picnic seating was full of people lapping up the summer sun. There was an adjacent large music festival in progress so this may have added to the numbers as the club background music matched the vibe of the festival. There’s an advertised rooftop seating area, but I didn’t investigate on this occasion. Premium and craft keg products were available from the polite staff, a pint of Blue Moon and half a coke set me back £8.50, which isn’t too bad for the area. I thought it was ok in here, but I don’t often find myself up this end of the beach so I’m not sure I’ll ever revisit.

The somewhat more permanent Bison Beach Bar (compared to last summer's pop-up version) comprises a couple of container-style rooms on the edge of the beach, with a bare concrete floor, partly occupied by blokes working on the Sea Lanes development, of which this is a part.
I was surprised to find just 2 Bison beers on the 12 tap fount and adjacent 3-tap towers. Deya, Beak and 360 also featured. While it's handy for the Concorde2 if you're in town for a gig, you'll likely find a similar selection in the venue, so I can't really find any reason to traipse out here again.
