The Well is a bare boarded sparsely decorated shop conversion with white painted wood panel walls that are adorned with some ‘college’ art. To the left of the central entrance is a round four-seater table and a beer shelf with four stools runs along the front right-hand window. Fridges stocked with canned and bottled craft beers run up the left-hand wall and shelves stocked with wine up the right. In the centre of the room is a large rug on which a coffee table and two 1970s sofas sit. The serving counter across the rear supports four craft keg options, I went for a half of Left Handed Giant’s Sky Above that was quite citrus. The service was polite and the upbeat 21st century music was good, but this bar is too far away from the main drag to warrant a revisit.

A small bottle shop with four keg taps on the wall serving craft beer. there is enough room inside for twelve or more people to sit comfortably as well as a couple of tables outside by the front door. It's ok for what it is.

Cosy bottle and can shop in Brighton's eclectic Kemptown district. A small square room with banks of fridges to the left with craft beers in cans and bottles as well as ciders and pre-mixed cocktails. One of the cans includes their own 'Pail' IPA; each barrel of which they donate a well to a village in India. Wines in a fridge and on shelves to the right and four draught taps against the far wall (there is no 'bar' as such). They've dabbled with cask in the past but get the usual wastage issues. It's set-up for you to either drink in or takeaway, and there's a £1 corkage fee for any can or bottle imbibed in-store, and the vibe is young and inclusive as you'd expect for the area.
