Also known as “Lils on the Waterfront”, not to be confused with “Lil’s Bar” next door, oh and Camra thinks it’s a chicken tiki bar called “Winner Winner” - LOL. The interior is equally confusing being a random selection of spaces where walls have been removed. The counter is rear left if you come in the riverside door or round to the immediate left if you use the side door opposite the Kings Arms. Like that pub, flooding is a problem hence the basic furniture and walls, exposed bricks in places. It’s higher than its Samuel Smiths neighbour so not as floodable or basic. There are tide marks around if you look here and there a bit. Eight solos serve a fairly predictable range of kegs with Guinness, a couple of ciders, fake European lagers and Theakstons Pale (!), all priced around £6 a pint, no premium on halves. Screens and piped music (1960s - 2000s randomly) of course.

Quayside location. Despite the Theakston gumpf outside there was no cask available at the weirdly small bar. Moved on.

No sports TV at all during our visit and food wasn't being served either. So a bit of a different feel to when Graham visited. The staff were very friendly, but the beer offering needs quite a bit of work. Ms CAMRA wanted a red wine, which she had and pronounced very good. I didn't feel the same way about my Theakstons keg though. It's perfectly OK for what it is, especially in Summer, but I doubt we'd bother again.
