Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pilot
Beach bar beside the former Folkestone Harbour station, and for all its other deficiencies (see below), this is a fantastic spot if you catch it with a spectacular sunset. Anyway, you won't much character inside some former shipping containers, but the front 'garden' (on the shingle between the palm trees) is a popular spot in good weather. The beer choice isn't great either (with a seemingly duplicated selection between the hooped fount on the counter and the 'craft' keg taps on the bar-back), with the picks being Kona Big Wave and Meantime's Anytime IPA (expensive at £5.85, but you pay for the view here).
