Crafty Bishop is in a portable cabin / chalet next to a car park off Southgate behind the very overpriced Chantry. The counter and some bar stools are found to the right and some tables sit to the left where a fridge full of cans sits against the left-hand wall. There are six craft fonts, five of which were in use pouring three options from Electric Bear, Arundel Brewery’s Mango Pale and a decent drop of Silly Moo Cyder. The governor was very friendly, but he was clear that he had no interest in ever selling cask. I enjoyed my recent Saturday evening visit, but this is a basic place that isn’t worth going out of the way for.
