Bistrot Pierre came to Eastbourne in 2019 to take residence in this impressive new beach side venue. Floor to ceiling windows look out 270 degrees onto the adjacent terrace and seafront view with pier to the left and Beachy Head to the right. This is primarily a French themed restaurant; I have been here twice since it opened and have found the food to be OK. There is a bar seating area to the right of the entrance so one can visit without eating. During my last visit on Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago the seven keg fonts were drawing Bier 94, Camden Hells, Stella and Orchard Pig Cider. There are two handpumps, but these are no longer in use. This is a great location and the staff are friendly, but I wouldn’t choose to go here just for a drink.
