The Engine Room is located in the cellar of a building just off Tanner's Bank

The interior is square shaped, with the bar in one corner. It is very dark inside and also very small, considering it hosts live music.

Only craft beer is available. The range was Alpha Delta Hera, Three Kings Pale Ale, Tyne Bank Silver Dollar & Anarchy Shotgun Love.

They also had a cider, which was a new one on me - Crafty Nectar No. 7.

An intriguing place, that I guess I arrived at shortly after opening early in the evening. It was starting to fill up nicely, by the time I left, despite there being no sign of any band setting up that day.
