Saturday was my first visit to this bar. We stayed in the small front bar, but could see that there was a vast room beyond that. The front room is fairly dark with a few TV screens and a couple of dartboards near the entrance. It's an unbelievable £30 and hour for up to 4 people to use the dartboard. Presumably somebody does actually pay for the privilege. The rear room seemed much brighter and presumably had a bar of its own, given we didn't see too many people coming from there to the bar in the front room.

There's no cask ale here. Purity Session IPA is as adventurous as the keg selection gets. Beavertown Neck Oil was the only other beer of note.

This seemed to be a very blokey sort of place. I don't recall seeing any women at all. Most customers were arriving to watch the Aston Villa match on the TVs. So, the Six Nations rugby was switched off mid-game. I can say I've been to this bar now, but I doubt I could ever foresee a reason to return.

We ventured into the front bar area, after visiting the Rock and Roll brewery across the road. We got some overpriced beer and after a while couldn't bear all the large TV screens around the walls at every angle. We noticed some of the customers heading out the back, so decided to have a nose. I couldn't believe the size of the place. You actually enter this rear barn via a glass walkway. The place was packed with people eating and drinking, quite an eye opener. Not my kind of place, and the lack of real ale means I won't bother visiting again.

Looks interesting from the street, with bold lettering atop the facade and coloured bottles in the windows (brightly illuminated at night). Completely redone inside, both in the front bar (where several sports TV screens can be found) and lower down in the larger lounge / dining area. No real ale offered, so opted for Beavertown Neck Oil (£5.95) from among the keg taps.
