Friendly ,basic craft micropub if there is such a thing.Well described below. Beer board is still confusing and needs tidying up.Tried two beers and both excellent inc a beer from Grizzly Grains in Sheffield.Amazing what beers you can find out in the sticks.£6 for 2 halves was good.Best quality beer of the 3 local pubs i tried.

This is a relatively new, shop converted craft beer bar just around the corner from Hayes station. The pub has a simple two room layout, with entry into a small, square front bar with ugly modern laminate flooring, one nice stone wall and others painted in cream or black, and a small bar counter in the rear left corner. A couple of comfy benches under the front windows with some plush chairs in support, seem to be the best seats in the house, with other options limited to canteen-style tables and benches down the right-hand wall and a few bar stools along the servery. The bar has a timber fronted counter and a frosted glass bar back with half of the keg taps mounted on a section that has been clad with the same timber from the counter front, with the remaining fonts on the counter top. Beer boards on the back wall were a little complex to navigate due to the prices being listed separately and the brewery name not being listed, although they were in the process of rectifying the latter during my stay, following a complaint from another customer. The walls are decorated with various blackboardslisting other drinks options, a shelf displaying jars full of hops, and a few posters advertising various upcoming events, whilst each table has a pizza menu, allowing you to place an order from the neighbouring pizzeria, which you are welcome to consume in the pub. A door to the rear leads through to a small, low ceilinged rear room with a couple of hard bench booths in a space painted in dark shades with a street-art graffiti mural on the ceiling. High energy dance music was playing at a fairly loud volume, seemingly mainly for the barman’s enjoyment.
There were eleven craft beers available on keg, from breweries including Northern Monk, Matrix, Turning Tides and Brixton. I tried a pint of the Slybeast Swamp Donkey, which was a decent enough drop, but a bit steep for the area at £6.00. There were a couple of other punters in on a mid-week evening, in contrast to the two much busier pubs over the road, and I found the service to be rather chaotic, if friendly enough.
This isn’t the worst craft beer bar I’ve been to, but it doesn’t really have all that much going for it other than being in an area that is seriously lacking in good pub options. The place might still need a bit more time to bed in properly, in which case there may now be a couple of decent pubs here to make you consider a stop-off in Hayes.
