What must be one of JW Lees flagship venues, Stanneylands is a sprawling hotel and bar to the North of Wilmslow. The split-level bar area with a mix of parquet and tiled flooring is found to the left of the entrance where the wood panelled bar counter supports standard keg alongside San Miguel and three hand pumps. Two of these were in operation drawing MPA and Plum Pudding. This place is a bit out of the way to warrant popping back in for a pint, but if I was staying at the hotel I would be very pleased when I walked into the bar area.
