Easily the best of 7 West Sussex pubs visited on this trip, BN6 Craft Beer & Tap is a light and airy micropub with more of an emphasis on craft beers than real ale. Nevertheless, cask ale is still available and the pub does feature in the Good Beer Guide.

The interior is long and thin with fridges containing bottles and cans on the left-hand wall and a bar counter midway along the right-hand wall. Beer and cider are fetched from a cold room also on the right-hand side, but closer to the entrance. At the rear is a suntrap courtyard garden.

The two real ales were Only With Love High Fives & Downlands Best. Ciders were all from Ascension - Pilot, Gardenia, Star Rover & Unless You Think. Craft beers were Bestens Dark Skies, Downlands Work Life, Unbarred Joosy, Abyss/Tillingbourne Grape Saison With Blackberries, Only With Love Wingding & 360° Pavillion Lager.

The bar lacked a little atmosphere on a Tuesday afternoon. But hopefully it gets livelier in the evenings and at weekends.
