Small square brewery bar on a busy junction in Leeds, opposite the main university buildings. Three handpulls with Handsome beers although there’s not usually more than one on at a time, probably weekends only, plus four double keg taps with cider and more of Handsome’s beers. A large tank dominates the centre of the counter and is there only to support another five or so keg taps of other breweries beers, North, Moorhouses and Beavertown were in evidence. There’s a mix of seating options, a couple of tall tables with stools and a selection of lower tables some with a leather sofa or armchairs plus a cask as a table for good measure. Stripped back walls, some only partially, and the remaining plaster is painted dark grey, it has board floors and a mural relating to the brewery’s Lakeland location on one wall. Empty ivy entwined casks with decorative ends sit above the counter. There is a big screen over the fireplace.

A new venue for the Kendal based brewery. The launch has been delayed due to Covid, but is currently scheduled to open in February.
