A taphouse connected to the Iford Cidery, this seemed a popular spot on a recent sunny Saturday, with the garden pretty much full to capacity and the adjacent Mexican food truck doing a good trade.

Décor wise it’s very much in the industrial style of many taphouses, with little in the way of décor or comfort. The only seating internally consists of two benches that were literally just a plank of wood perched across two kegs. There was some further seating under an awning at the front should there be inclement weather, but this is much more of a warm weather destination. The rear part of the pub was taken up with the brewing vessels and canning line, while the smaller front part had the bar counter off to the left, steel rafters on the ceiling and concrete screed on the floor. The wall to the right had been painted burnt orange, and the bar counter was clad with rough plywood, but other than that, this is very much a working cidery. That said, the garden was very pleasant and gives great views across the valley.

Ciders on tap were all their own as would be expected, and on this occasion consisted of Wild Juice, Rushwood, Cloudgazer and ABC dispensed from taps behind the bar, as well as Somerset Sahara straight from the box.
