A prominent tap room located in a very pleasant position between the river and canal basin, it was presumably some sort of dockside warehouse in a former life and still maintains something of an industrial vibe to it.
Internally a second floor has been fitted so it feels a lot cosier than would otherwise be the case, and the exposed rafters on the underside of the floor give it something of a rustic feel, complimented by the dark wooden boards on the floor and the whitewashed stone walls. It certainly has a bit more character than many tap rooms which can feel very spartan and utilitarian. Seating was mostly communal picnic benches, an old piano was at the far end and there were a few pieces of artwork dotted around the walls, as well as strings of hops hanging from the ceiling. One corner contained the obligatory selection of brewery merchandise for sale, and plenty more seating was provided outside which was a pleasant spot.
Beers on tap were a good mix besides their own although predominantly keg with Ask your Dad appearing to be the sole cask offering. These were joined by Shiny! Let’s Be Bad Guys and The 28th Riddle from their own lineup along with Siren Tempo, BSR Rothaus, Anspach & Hobday London Black, Beak Sunrise IPA and Bluntrock Moon Juice. Ciders meanwhile were a trio from Sandford Orchards with their Devon Red, Blackberry & Cheery and Slack Ma Girdle. All in all, a pretty decent spot and well worth checking out.

Situated in an old stone wharehouse building between the Exeter Ship Canal basin and the navigable River Exe,there are some external benches on the basin side and a large wooden door which gives way to a large atmospheric space with the bar to the left and ranks of refectory tables in the middle, smaller tables to the raised right side. There is a small stage at the far end for music events, while the solid beams and rough slate floor give a brewery tap atmosphere. The brewing kit is not on display ,maybe higher in the building and this operation much larger than the original site in Topsham.
Above the bar are colourful square boards describing the beer offering. On my trip two cask ales from Topsham, their Copperhead vegan bitter and Goats Walk session IPA but 4.6% and in great nick,NBSS 4.5 and £4.60.There were 9 of their keg beers across a number of styles viz pilsner, helles, various IPA's some hazy, pales and a vanilla stout. Guest kegs from Wiper & True,Verdant,Polly's,Stannary and a local cider expanded the style choice into sours as well. The guest kegs are pricey, but real ale of this GBG 2026 entry meritted the inclusion.
More keg than cask but the range of beer is credible making it a must visit if crawling the city.Card only and somewhat hip but I would gladly return.

A decent enough brewery and taproom, however on my visit there were a couple of downsides. The beer prices in here were very steep. We went for Kelham Island Easy Rider, which was exceptionally good, when it came to my visit to the bar, I noticed they were charging £5.80 a pint. I know this beer was a guest at 4.3% and they were only charging £4.60 for Thornbridge, at an ABV of 4%.
I asked the bar manager if they had made a mistake, which he and his staff didn't like, obviously you don't question these things in here.
The majority of the customers on our Friday evening visit were students, the toilets were unisex three cubicles with bins full of paper towels. Put some hand dryers in and help the environment, am surprised all the students don't make this an issue.
