No cask. Keg offering of Moretti, Clwb Tropica, Cruz, Brixton Reliance Pale Ale, Hawkstone Session lager, Hofmeister Helles, Guinness and Henry Weston’s Vintage cider.
Definite art deco theme in here. A souped-up Loungers establishment it feels like and there was considerable commonality of the quaffs (can’t think of anywhere else I have seen Hofmester Helles - need to follow my bear nose that there is some common ownership on this one rather than look up answer). This one is also glass fronted, incredibly festive on my visit. The venue is bare boarded, and the bar counter is down the left-hand wall mid venue. The area opposite the bar counter has a long line of tall tables and tall stools to cater for drinkers only. The larger area the other side of a shoulder height wooden partition comprised of many quite densely packed regular tables and chairs occupied by diners. The walls were plastered with framed prints of all sorts and some portraits in ornate frames with a healthy compliment of generally also art deco mirrors. Uncovered seating out the front not in play on my visit. The gents' toilets are definitely above average, where else would you see the walls occupied by framed copies from Country Life of debutantes where their well-heeled parents were announcing the betrothal of their daughter, weddings generally in the Cotswolds and centred on Chipping Norton like the darts in the treble twenty bed in a Littler v van Gerwen match. Not sure what the notice protagonists would feel about where the notice ended up!
