A brewery tap in a shop conversion in the tourist trap village of Grasmere. I know nothing of Grasmere Brewery, but judging by their brewery tap they major in keg beers. There was one hand pump on the bar with a Cascade Pale, so I looked at the keg choices and went for a 3% bitter which was pretty awful: cold, fizzy, tasteless. (I have checked on their website and they don't appear to be making this beer any more.) This is not my idea of a proper pub, though there were plenty here to disagree with me, tucking into their fast food and keg beer with great gusto.
