On the main drag in SE19 but t don’t bother adding to the list of very a viable inclusions for a decent crawl in this area. Most here, and there weren’t many, were eating or just here to drink wine (nothing wrong with that of course - I have been known to have visited such places for such purpose)! It is quite a reasonable size, a back to front L shape as you walk in through the front door. Tiled floor throughout and the old style wood shop type bar on the right just as you walk in, with glass compartments in the front of the bar storing bottles of their red wine. Typical dining tables dotted throughout the venue all set for diners. Small bar area off to the right on tall stools against the wall, but was told I could sit anywhere I chose given the paucity of diners!
You will fall off your high bar stools when I tell you that the draught beers were all keg and no sign of any history of any hand pulls in this place. The stellar (not) options were Pravha and Madri in the lager brigade, Jubel Peach, Aspall cider, Guinness (mis-spelt on the menu) and GH Hepcat for all the craft beer dudes that would find themselves here rather than in the dedicated craft beer places within 10 seconds either side of this venue).
Not commenting on this place as a restaurant or wine bar (although noting the red wines by glass and bottle were nothing to write home about - for god’s sake not even the vintages of each of the choices but I would hazard a guess nothing with more than 3 years of age). Feeling in a happy mood and generous so I will call this one a 4 but don’t blame me if you venture here and and feel like it is a wasted journey (which you won’t if you visit at least half a dozen places within walking distance of here)!
