The Grange used to be the Usk Conservative Club. It was another place we attempted to visit in 2016, but failed. That dark evening, we were not even able to locate the correct building, never mind indulge in a drink.
The Club has now opened to all, although it clearly still has conservative leanings and locals still very much refer to it as a club.
It had quite a few elderly locals in on our visit. In fact, it had more of a feel of an old peoples' home with a young(er) barmaid acting as their carer! A few of the denizens had spilled out to a lawn area at the front of the building.
Butty Bach is the real ale of choice here.
