Pizza place with beer, as described by OB below. The one keg of interest, Orange County by Fierce Beer, was a fairly tasteless and insipid brew though to be honest I don’t rate the brewery much anyway. There may have been cans in the fridge but by this point I wasn’t really paying much attention (hour 38) and let my pal do the ordering. Much better was the Bloody Mary I had afterwards as a pick-me-up. So go here for that if, like me, you’re a fan of the classics.

Not a bar or a pub, this is a pizza restaurant with beer available, there is Morretti and something equally boring on draught and various cans from the fridge, I paid £4.80 for a 330ml can of Northern Monk Eternal (4.1%). There is a Maitre D’ desk at the entrance where you’ll be asked if you booked and if something is free you’ll be conducted to your rather utilitarian seat at a plywood table, admittedly with a laminate top. The wood fired pizzas are not always conventional flavours. It may allow you to just drink in quiet times but one has to ask, why?

Grumpy's is a sister bar of St Jude and also does does Wood fired Pizza.There is also draft beer and a good selection of craft bottles and cans
