A straightforward conversion of a rectangular shop unit, with the front seating area half-separated from the bar counter at the back. There are six hand pumps with a preponderance, at the time of my visit, of pale and blonde beers (see photos). I went for Ben's Brewery Beyond the Pale 4% and Frome Rise of the Independents 4.8%, with both getting NBSS 4 from me, and costing £4 for the two (there are no prices on the blackboard). I had my bike with me so had plenty of time to do this and get back to Lancaster for the football at 3pm, though I guess it would be doable by bus, or train to Bare Lane.
