Passed through on a recent Monday afternoon when most of the market stalls were probably packing up. The whole place seemed quiet and soulless, not just the bar but the market in general. Very quiet and no music playing to generate a bit of atmosphere. Possibly a case of bad timing.
Three hand pulls at the bar but all had their clips turned round. There was a disinterested looking guy behind the bar who was glued to his phone.
I'm not sure I would have bothered even if there had been any ale available, but perhaps next time I am in Tod I will catch it on a better day.

Luckily for us this stayed open on a Sunday afternoon until 4pm, plus the Indian food store just across the way was also open. So we managed to get the pint and a curry deal, which you can eat in the bar area. A pint of Reedley Hallows Pendleside, chicken curry and rice and 2 veg samosas, all came in at £9. There were 2 more beers from Reedley Hallows Nook of Pendle and New Laund Dark. The food and beer quality was top notch.

Old Boots left this review about Market Tavern
A wooden market stall based bar in the middle of the market hall. A wooden enclosed area with the counter at one end. Seating is at benches beside narrow wooden tables and there are some stools outside. Three pulls with beers from Reedley Hallows in good nick, spirits and keg are also available. Usually only open when the market is and cash is preferred.
