Oh, dear. Where to start? I know pubs have had a hard time with the lockdown etc but I'm beginning to get a bit bored with the 'teething trouble' crap that gets babbled when the service/pub/beers are way below standard. It's not like pubs are a new fangled invention. Anyway, rant over, this new place is all thoroughly modern and shiny. A large old Victorian style building hides the modernity inside. In three parts with a large main part with a conservatory to the right and an outside drinking area to the right again. Now here comes the problem, the blurb says they have wonderful selection of real ale. I could see one unused handpull and when I asked if they had real Ale the barmaid looked at me as if I'd just sat up out of a coffin. Thinking I was speaking some sort of language from the other side she helpfully pointed to the selection of lagers. It is more food led but I was expecting some knowledge of the beers. If you must go they have a selection of fizzpop Taps along the wall and (allegedly) cask. Teething troubles I guess.
